OASIS Standard (OS) is the highest level of approval for a Standards Track Work Product within OASIS. OSs are identified by stage identifier and approval date.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Unlike all previous stages, OASIS Standard is achieved by an OASIS member-wide ballot, with each OASIS Organizational Member having a single vote cast by each Organizational Member's Primary Representative or a designated Alternate.
Upon successful completion of a Candidate OASIS Standard Public Review the TC Administrator will initiate a 14-day ballot to approve the Candidate OASIS Standard as an OASIS Standard. Notice is sent to each Organizational Voting Member as well as to the OASIS membership noting the ballot URI and the minimum number of votes required to conditionally pass.
At least 15% of the eligible voters must vote in the affirmative AND no negative votes are cast.
At least 15% of the eligible voters voted in the affirmative but negative votes equalled 25% or more of the total votes cast OR less than 15% of the elegible voters voted in the affirmative.
At least 15% of the eligible voters voted in the affirmative but negative votes equalling less than 25% of the total votes were also cast. In such a case, the TC must, within 30 days, request TC Administration to conduct a Special Majority Ballot affirming the results of the ballot despite the negative votes cast. Otherwise, the OASIS Standard ballot is deemed to have failed.
The Chair or other representative of the TC must notify TC Administration by completing an OASIS Standard Affirmation Ballot Request.
