|
Scope
The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):
- The specification of how a task shall be performed, such as the procedure to be followed;
- The naming, identification and versioning of a task specification, that enable the task to be uniquely identified;
- The representation of sub tasks, task steps and any sequential or other logical constraints between elements that provide
the details of the task;
- Identification of the product, to which the task applies, such as the Product In Focus and it's End-item ;
- Identification of resources needed to execute the task, including material resources,
organizations, personnel, facilities and related information resources
such as drawings, documents or procedures;
- Identification or a text based description of the context for which the task specification
was developed and to which it applies;
- Identification of intended support levels at which the task may be performed (e.g. on
equipment, on bench, at a maintenance depot);
- Justification for the existence of a task by reference to a support driver or equivalent
text string e.g. to prevent or to rectify a failure, to implement a change;
- Definition of the conditions under which the task falls due (e.g. planned maintenance
limit, failure report, task preparation/close-up or other task trigger);
- Identification or specification of the assumed state of the product or the working
environment prior to task execution;
- Identification/specification of pre-task product/environmental state;
- Legal, health and safety advisories;
- Reference to pre/post condition tasks;
- Specification of the expected result of performing the task (e.g. the state of the
product);
- Task effectivities i.e the validity of a task or part thereof is constrained to a specific
context. ;
The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):
- Establishment of support drivers;
- Specification of the organizations that actually perform the task;
- Identification of the serialized items upon which the tasks were performed;
- Identification or specification of plans, schedules and execution of tasks;
- Recording of the execution of a task;
- Identification of the mechanism for reporting the suitability of the task and support solution (e.g. It needed more people,
different skills, more resources, different tools).
