OASIS TC Handbook

Gaining Voting Rights in a TC

If the TC has not yet held its first meeting:

To be considered a Voting Member at the first meeting:

Steps:
  1. Join the TC as a Member (and be approved by you or your organization's Primary Representative) at least 7 days prior to the first meeting
    • NOTE: You will not appear on the roster until either you or your organization's Primary Representative has approved your participation.
  2. Attend the first meeting, either by phone or in person

If you join anytime after that, or if you are unable to attend the first meeting, you will gain voting rights after attending two consecutive meetings.

After the TC has successfully held its first meeting:

Steps:
  1. Join the TC as a Member (and be approved by you or your organization's Primary Representative)
  2. Once you have attended two consecutive meetings you will be granted voting rights at the end of the 2nd meeting.

For TCs that do not hold frequent meetings:

If a TC holds fewer than 2 meetings within 60 days of becoming a Member, or of losing voting rights, you will be granted voting rights at the end of the 60th day.

For TCs that conduct business only via electronic ballot:

You may regain voting rights by making a request to the Chair, effective at the end of the 60th day after making the request.
