OASIS TC Handbook

Maintenance Specifications

The OASIS IPR Policy defines a Maintenance Activity as "Any drafting or development work to modify an OASIS Standards Final Deliverable that (a) constitutes only error corrections, bug fixes or editorial formatting changes to the OASIS Standards Final Deliverable; and (b) does not add any feature; and (c) is within the scope of the TC that approved the OASIS Standards Final Deliverable (whether or not the work is conducted by the same TC)".

Contribution obligations carry over from an original OASIS Standards Final Deliverable to Final Maintenance Deliverables.

The lifecycle for a Maintenance Specification is the same as that of any Standards Track Work Product; that is, beginning as a Working Draft and progressing to the same approval level as the OASIS Standards Final Deliverable it is intended to modify.

Please report any errors or corrections to the OASIS TC Administrator. Thank you!
