Ensuring Frequent Absences Won't Impact Quorum

Only Voting Members are counted towards quorum. If your attendance is erratic, causing you to bounce between Voting Member and Member, you can request a change to Persistent Non-Voting Member status.

Steps:

1. Send an email to the TC Chair with a copy to the TC mailing list requesting that your role be changed to Persistent Non-Voting Member status. Be sure to include an effective date (cannot be retroactive).

That's it! If in the future you decide you'd like to go back to Member status, just send another email to the TC Chair, copying the TC mailing list requesting revocation of Persistent Non-Voting Member status and the effective date (again, cannot be retroactive).
