This committee note provides guidance regarding the use of the OASIS UBL Technical Committee logo for use when referencing the work and work products of the technical committee:
The simple logo was designed by Jon Bosak, the founding chairman of the UBL Technical Committee.
The simple logo consists of two elements: the globe in Nicosia globular projection with outlined continents, and the name of the committee “UBL”.
The PNG files were created by exporting a bit image from scaling the SVG image.
The images have a transparent background behind the white globe halves. There are imperceptible off-white horizontal lines joining the top and bottom of the globe halves to allow for the outside of the globes to be filled with a colour without bleeding into the globes.
The oval logo consists of six elements: an outline oval, the globe in Nicosia globular projection with outlined continents, the name of the committee “UBL”, the OASIS logo, the name of the organization “OASIS”, and the undated ISO/IEC standard number of the flagship committee work product UBL “ISO/IEC 19845”.
The PNG files were created by exporting a bit image from scaling the SVG image.
The images have a transparent background outside the oval.
These logo files are made available as OASIS resources and they may be copied and furnished to others, with the restriction only that they be used to represent the committee itself and/or copyrighted OASIS materials related to the UBL standard.
These resources may not be used to represent non-conforming or improper uses of the UBL standard.
These resources may not be modified in any way other than by their dimension.
Permission to adapt the logo for an alternative use must be sought from OASIS Administration (not the UBL Technical Committee) before being used as such, and may only be granted when referring to work of the committee or to conforming implementations of UBL. The assessment of responsible and/or allowed adaptations of this logo remains the decision of OASIS Administration (not the UBL Technical Committee).
These resources are considered OASIS Intellectual Property. The full OASIS IPR Policy is found at the OASIS website.
Online and downloadable versions of this release are available from the locations specified at the top of this document.
